Monkey Fist Poi offer the longest burn-time-to-volume ratio of all of our wicks. The monkey fists come attached via zinc plated quicklinks to #15 nickel-plated steel ballchain and single or double loop leather handles.

TheMonkey Fist wick assemblies are made in a unique fashion; one "fist" is made out of a single length of rope that is tied into multiple monkey fist knots (one inside the other). The result is a fully-absorbent wick assembly, unlike those built with wooden cores. We also have two wick options. Fiberglass core rope wick assemblies are lower-priced, and are slightly smaller but heavier, whereas KEVLAR(R) core rope monkey fists are larger and lighter.

Small and Large K1 fiberglass-core-rope monkey fists are approximately 2.25 and 2.75 inches in diameter, respectively. Small and Large K1 aramid-core-rope monkey fists are approximately 2.5 and 3.0 inches in diameter, respectively.
