Please wait...This adhesive-backed wick measures 1.5 in. x 1/16. in This adhesive wick readily sticks to most standard surfaces: metal, wood, etc. This makes them ideal for wrapping on staves, batons, torches of all kinds, tube cores, and so on. It is recommended that only pure white gas be used with this wick for a long lasting stick. It is recommended that you also use another way of securing your wick, using kevlar thread or wire are suitable methods. Do NOT really solely on the adhesive to hold your wick onto your prop.
Wick is sold per foot. If you are looking to make a bulk purchase of 100' rolls or more, please visit http://www.flammaaeterna.com/default.aspx?affiliateid=10054

When I wrapped these around a metal pole and lit it on fire useing Coleman fuel, the adhesive kevlar wick would unravel itself. In order to fix this problem, I took some copper wire and tightly wrapped it around the wick. Light it on fire, burn it a few times, and then took the copper wire off. It helps if you just leave it on all the time, but if you leave it on all the time you risk the wire falling off and landing on your skin which will BURN. I took it off and burned it a few more times without the wire on and it didn't seem to unravel the first few times but I think it eventually did.

So I bought some of this, and I used the same technique I did for my last set of torches to make my new ones (eating torches) including putting pressure, and gluing them shut at the end. But in all four tries, when I would soak them in white gas and then light them on fire for less than 10 seconds, the adhesive would fail and the torch would unravel. Upon further inspection, the wick was not sticking to itself at all, and the only reason it didn't fall off was because of the glue and the wick stuck to the metal core.
